The summer has just officially begun, coinciding with the “new normality”, and we invite you to take advantage of the quality, flavour and price of our seasonal products to enjoy them to the full, while also strengthening your immune system with our fruit and vegetables.
Although watermelons and potatoes from Ibiza are renowned for their high quality and appreciated in restaurants throughout Spain, there are many seasonal products that we grow and that you should not miss.

Melon and Watermelon

They are the pampered fruits of our orchard and the undisputed stars of summer for their sweet taste, high quality and high level of water that makes them highly refreshing and very moisturizing. The secret: Both fruits contain a very low level of calories, as they are 90% water and are rich in vitamin A and E, laxatives and diuretics. Do you need more reasons to include them in your order?

Potatoes

The Ibizan potatoes, characteristic for their reddish colour, have the peculiarity that when they are cooked they remain whole. When they are fried they do not burn and acquire a golden colour that makes them delicious. They also have a high starch content and are especially tasty. The secret: They are rich in complex carbohydrates, vitamin C, potassium and fibre, help to control hypertension and increase energy.

Tomatoes

At Can Soldat we have many varieties to suit the recipes you choose: salad tomatoes, pears, kings of gazpachos, hanging tomatoes, cherry or raff for the more gourmand. The secret: Although many do not know it, tomatoes are really fruits and not vegetables, their sugar content is very low and although they are water in 94% they are rich in fiber, vitamins and minerals, especially vitamin C, provitamin A and group B vitamins.

Apricots

Our apricots are fragrant and stand out for their smoothness and flavour. They have a very low caloric intake and a high amount of water, as well as a high fibre content. In addition, their high content of beta-carotene makes them ideal for preparing the skin and protecting it from the sun. The secret: This fruit contains vitamins A and C and is rich in potassium and magnesium. Three pieces of apricot provide the recommended daily amount of fruit that an adult needs.

Peppers

In Can Soldat we have many types of peppers: from the padron, Italian, red, lamuyos, yellow, Moroccan spicy or chili, although the kings of our garden are the green peppers that these days are smooth and fragrant. It is a very versatile vegetable since it can be eaten raw, roasted, boiled or on the beach and has a high content of beta-carotene and Vitamins E, C, B2 or B6. The secret: It is an ideal product for pregnant women and children. In addition, it is recommended in hypocaloric diets, since it is highly diuretic and depurative.

Cucumbers

An indispensable gazpacho that can be eaten raw, sliced or seasoned with sauces and vinaigrettes. Its low caloric contribution, it only has 13 calories per 100 grams, and its few carbohydrates make it ideal to become a healthy and refreshing snack between meals. The secret: It is rich in fiber, potassium, iron, calcium, phosphorus and magnesium, as well as in vitamins A, B, C and E.

Zucchini

It is another of the essentials of our diet that can be eaten raw, in purees, battered or as a garnish in recipes such as ratatouille. Its flowers are also edible. It is a low-sodium, low-fat and low-calorie product that stands out for its softening properties on the digestive system. The secret: It is rich in Vitamin B and C and is a great source of potassium.
